Frequently Asked Questions Dominica - The Nature Island
1. What makes this an adventure tour and not a luxury tour?
Adventure with Flip Flops & Coconuts Tours means embracing the unknown of what lies ahead and adapting to the experience. When you have an adventure, not everything is what you are used to. For example, adventure to us means adapting to certain things such as not always being able to go back to the hotel to change your clothes before dinner, not always having WiFi, not always being able to find a restroom out in the remote forest. So, if you are ok with eating your dinner soaking wet after swimming in a river or coming out of a muddy hike, then this tour is definitely for you!
2. What currency should I bring with me to Dominica?
You may use U.S. Dollars or Eastern Caribbean Dollars in Dominica. If you use U.S. Dollars, you will be given your change back in Eastern Caribbean Dollars.
3. Why do you have such a strict cancellation policy?
We have put a lot of time into our handcrafted itineraries, and we only work with local business owners. The local business owners that we work with help us to ensure that you have an amazing vacation, and they are looking forward to your booking. They specifically block out time from their schedules and rooms at their hotels to accommodate your booking. When you cancel your reservation, the owners still need to be compensated for their loss of scheduled bookings. It is very important to us to keep healthy and loyal relationships with local tour guides and hotel owners as they are all small businesses, locally owned and operated. They rely on commitments made to them to accommodate guests and Flip Flops & Coconuts Tours must respect that.
